Unit census
How a census works
You tell us what you know. We walk the roof. You keep the sheet.
Step 1: You send the basics
The address, a rough count of units and how we get up. Three short steps, and a photo of a data plate if you have one.
Step 2: We write a proposal for the walk
It names what the walk costs, who goes up and when, before anyone comes.
Step 3: We walk the roof
We tag each unit, read its data plate, note the access and sketch the roof.
Step 4: You get the sheet
One page per building: tags, tonnage, access and who each unit cools. The contract prices come from it.
The unit census
One sheet per building, before the first visit
A census lists every rooftop and split unit in a building, its tonnage and how to reach it. We walk the roof once, and every visit after it starts from that page.

- 1
Unit tag
A number on the unit and on your roof sketch, so a tenant's call names the unit and not a corner of the building.
- 2
Make, model and tonnage
Read from the data plate. Tonnage sets the price of a repair or a replacement, so it is the field that matters most.
- 3
Roof access
Interior ladder, roof hatch, exterior ladder or a lift. Who holds the key, and whether the landlord is told first.
- 4
Filters, belts and coils
Filter size and count, belt size, coil type. The first visit arrives with the right parts.
- 5
Who the unit cools
The suite or tenant each unit serves, and a name to call there. A no-cooling call goes to a person, not a mailbox.

Tell us what is on the roof
Answer what you can; "not sure" is a fine answer. We reply on the next business day to set up the walk.
